BJJ Companion operates the website and application that let you discover BJJ classes, book sessions, manage memberships where available, check in, participate in class messaging, and related features.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

• Account data: email, name, authentication identifiers from your sign-in provider, and profile details you choose to add.
• Booking and activity data: class bookings, check-ins, cancellations, and related timestamps.
• Payment-related data: transaction references and status from our payment partners. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; card data is handled by the payment processor.
• Gym and waiver data: when a gym requires a waiver, we may store acceptance records and waiver version identifiers needed to enforce gym policy.
• Messages: content you send in class or gym chat features, as implemented in the product.
• Technical data: device/browser type, IP address, and logs used for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, secure, and improve the service
• Process bookings, memberships, and payments
• Show relevant classes and gym information
• Facilitate communication between you, coaches, and gyms as part of the product
• Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests
• Detect fraud, spam, and misuse

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

• Gyms and coaches when needed to operate schedules, rosters, waivers, and in-app messaging tied to their classes.
• Service providers that host data, process payments, send transactional messages, or provide infrastructure (for example, database and authentication providers).
• Authorities when required by law or to protect safety and rights.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.

5. Retention

We keep information as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods can vary by data type and jurisdiction.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to some processing. Contact us to make a request and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us so we can delete it.

If you use the service from outside the country where we operate servers, your information may be processed in other countries where our providers operate.
